Phase One Completion

We’re pleased to announce we’ve completed the new construction at KCMC and also opened the therapy pool at West Wateree Medical Complex. This marks the end of Phase One in our expansion efforts.

West Wateree Therapy Pool is Open
Rehab patients are already enjoying the benefits of working out in water – assisting recovery from injury, total hip or knee replacement, arthritis and musculoskeletal conditions.

Our therapy pool features:
     22’ x 30’ warm water therapy area
     3.5-4.5-ft. deep exercise area
     Whirlpool spa for joint and soft tissue injuries
     Hydraulic lift chair

Main Hospital Addition Opens

With our new 71,000 square-foot addition open, our physicians are able to perform more complex surgeries, requiring more equipment and people.

Our addition features:
     New main entrance, lobby and waiting areas
     24-bed nursing unit with all private rooms
     Eight-bed intensive care unit
     Five operating rooms
     Cardiovascular diagnostics and cardiac rehabilitation
     Cardiac wellness kitchen
     Expansion of health information management

We’re currently planning the next phase of our expansion. As the need for quality healthcare increases, we’ll continue expanding our facilities, improving our technology and increasing our service for our whole community.
