Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapists use customized treatment programs to help patients who’ve suffered a stroke of a heart attack, suffer from arthritis, multiple sclerosis, or other serious illnesses.
Others who benefit from occupational therapy include children with burn injuries, learning problems or developmental disabilities, patients with burns, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, amputations, Broken bones, or other injuries from sports falls or work related accidents.
Customized treatment programs include:
Evaluation and treatment designed to improve abilities to carry out activities of daily living.
Comprehensive home and job site evaluations with recommendations for improvements.
Recommendations and training in the use of adaptive equipment to improve functional independence.
Exercise and strengthening programs to increase functional mobility and independence with activities of daily living.
Patient and family education to assure safe and effective methods to perform tasks.
