Kershaw County Medical Center’s cardiovascular and pulmonary services departments are dedicated to meeting your cardiovascular, cardiac rehabilitation, respiratory care and sleep disorder diagnosis and treatment needs.
The Cardiovascular Services team at KCMC includes highly credentialed technicians, nurses and physicians. The Healing Hearts Cardiac Rehabilitation Program is nationally certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation and has also received state cardiac rehabilitation certification by the Joint Committee of the SC Heart Association and SC Medical Association. The Vascular Lab has received national certification from the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Labs.

Cardiac Rehabilitation
Our Healing Hearts Cardiac Rehabilitation Program takes a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, including education, exercise, stress management, dietary modification and vocational evaluation. Persons who qualify for the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program include patients with recent heart attack, bypass surgery, angioplasty, stent procedure or stable angina.
Our nationally-recognized Healing Hearts Cardiac Rehabilitation Program has been awarded Program Certification by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation and state certification by the Joint Committee of the SC Heart Association and SC Medical Association.

Pulmonary Services
Patients with respiratory illness face challenges and limitations in everyday living. Helping patients understand their illness is often the first step in improving quality of life – even with respiratory illnesss. KCMC’s Pulmonary Services include respiratory care, arterial blood gases, life support, pulmonary function tests, sleep lab and studies.
Respiratory Care
KCMC has a full-time staff of registered respiratory therapists to help manage diagnosis and treatment of respiratory illnesses. Our therapists work under the direction of physicians to assist or better control a patient's breathing. Using specialized equipment and advanced technologies, KCMC’s respiratory therapists assist patients of all ages suffering from chronic lung disease, asthma, pneumonia, post surgical concerns, chest injuries, premature infants, drowning, drug overdoses, heart failure, stroke, shock and more.
