while still in high school
There are a number of ways to begin preparing for a career in healthcare. Ask your guidance counselor if there is a Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) chapter in your school. See if your school offers Health Science Technology Education or a Medical Explorers program. You’ll be surprised what your school can offer to get you started.

Other opportunities you’ll want to consider are volunteering and job shadowing at your local hospital.
